The purpose of this study is aimed to make a clearer grasp of Kieslowski's, the director of the Eastern Europ, art features by using "Author theory " ,based on the previous studies and in-depth understanding of the " Author theory". We can find that Kieslowski is not only the author of a real director, but also the unique Eastern Europe director outside the Western European mainstream of films. This paper is carried on by mainly following the director's objective situation and guiding of the theoretical method. The main views put forward by the essay are the followings : First, Kieslowski is a director with a full comprehesion of collective art. So whether in the specific conversation or the actual operation, he demonstrated the excellent control of film's art, which laid the objective foundation for his authentic expression of his artistic thoughts in the film. In fact, what he has done eliminates the wory of "Author theory " : directors can not express personal artistic intent within the collective arts activities. Second, by the use of the "Author theory" to study Kieslowski, the author is fully aware of the geographical layout between the director and the "Author theory", so when the author apply the "Author theory" to study Kieslowski, I emphsize the basic individual background and strictly comply with the principle of flexible using of the theory. Third, the spirit of Kieslowski contained a contradiction,a belief in individualism. Through our interpretation, there is the conclusion that the contradiction is fully embodies in his works with the several changes of the theme of his works, which have not changed his spiritual contradictions, bur just verified the existence of the itself. Forth, artic frame of the Kieslowski's works has exceeded the ability of "Author theory" analysis, for the artic forms of his films have his own characteristics, which can not be judged by the standardized prinsciple.
