Hongmai is famous for "RongZhaiSuiBi" and "YiJianZhi". However, most philosophers tried to focus on "YiJianZhi", and just on one part of "RongZhaiSuiBi". Because of the acknowledge mentioned above, this paper is focused on the "RongZhaiSuiBi".This paper take on Hongmai's historiography from the standpoint of historial material.and compile and so on. There are six parts in this article.The first part introduce all Hongmai's life and his works. By way of this, we can interpretate his historiography best.From the warning and comment of "RongZhaiSuiBi", the second is about the judgment on the historical fact and character in history. We can find out the Hongmai was focused on the common people's history. This is the best feature.The third is managed to research the view of stylistic rules and layout about history books, by this we can see that Hongmai always insist on honest principle.Part four and five study his point about historial material. This paper want to find out it from the theory and method. And we can find that Hongmai attached importance to the effect of the fiction.Part six mainly discuss Hongmai's view about historial recountion and annotation. Finally, in the last part seven, the historiography of Hongmai will be summarized. Look about his learning, we won't suspect that Wangguowei put Hongmai in the master of history, such as Simaguang and Ouyangxiu.
