Analysis On The Trend Of Nationalism During Anti-Japanese War

The nature of nationalism belongs to one politics ideology. It is the loyal and deep love of the member of national community to this nationality which forms in the national consciousness foundation. It's about the theory and policy of nation .It's also social practice and the mass movement under the policy instruction or the influence of this kind of theory. We may regard the nationalism as a neutral concept. But the nationalism's function is different under the specific historical condition . The nationalism has two contrary systems: rational and irrational nationalism. The irrational nationalism has negative effect and the rational nationalism has positive effect.The nationalism during the Anti-Japanese War was based on the distinguishment of the Hua Yi as local resource and gradually came into being. It was the result of the transition and reconstruction of the modern Chinese nationalism with the Unity of the Five Nations presented by Sun Yat sen and the anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism presented in New cultural Movement as it's social background.Japanese aggression became more and more serious after "September 18 Incident". From "9.18"Incident to "7.7"Incident, Chinese nationalism got developed and finally came to the peak. It included three climaxes :the first one was from "9.18 Incident" to "12.9 Movement ";the second one was from "12.9 Movement " to "7.7 Incident" then with the starting of national war of resistance ,the Chinese nationalism reached it's peak.The Chinese nationalism was rich during the Anti-Japanese War .Totally speaking,It showed in three ways mostly :One was the Middle Class and Academic School's nationalism.It included the political nationalism of State ;the cultural nationalism of Countryside-construction ;the political of proposition of the school of liberity and so on One was Jiang Jie Shi's nationalism.It reflected in politics,economy,culture and military. But it gave priovity to benefit of the party over nation and the state and had the nature of patriotism,political despotism,cultural conservation and economical monopoly.The last one was CPC's theory of new demoratic revolution ,which was based on patriotism and connected patroitism with the theory of Marxism's national democratic revolution.It suggested political economic cultural requirements in the aspects of nation's liberation and nation's prosperity.To recognize the nationalism correctly during Anti-Japanese War has very important historical significance in understanding the role and influence of different parties and academic schools .From the analysis of them ,it's good for us to get the connotation of nationalism and distinct the rational and irrational nationalism objectively and fairly. In the background of globalization ,it also has practical significance for us to overcome national nihilism and irrational nationalism in pursuit of peace and development.
