Tourism translation is a cross-cultural communicative activity. Translators should take into consideration both the characteristics and cultural connotation of scenic spots and the acceptability of versions for receptors.The focus of this paper is to present the analysis of C-E translation of tourism materials including names of scenic spots, introductions of scenic spots, tourism slogans and tourism signs from the perspective of pragmatics, such as pragmatic equivalence and cooperative principle. After introducing their own features of these types of tourism materials, this paper also analyzes some common errors in tourism translation through many typical examples. The further analysis aims at how to improve the quality of tourism translation with some proper pragmatic strategies provided.With the combination of principles and lots of examples, this paper makes a detailed analysis of tourism translation. It is hoped that this paper can provide guidance for both translators and relevant learners, and attract more attention to tourism translation.
