Integration Of Singing Skills And Art Expression

Performance of the vocal must be the combination of talent singing skills and the perfect art expression. Both of them should supplement each other. In vocal performance, many elements should be included in the category of singing skills, such as the different characters of singer' tone quality, the proper control of breathiness as to correctly perform the phrases of musical work, clear word express in language, the combination of facial expressions, body language and emotional demands. This article tries to make a deep exploration on the singing process of the work "Admiration for Plum". First, it introduces the background of this work, creations motive of the author in music and lyrics; and then, it explores some elements such as proper management of melody, rhythm, style and grace note of music, the learning from lasting appeal of Beijing Opera' intone, the handling of facial expressions and body language in stage performance. At last, it combines the theoretical analysis with the author' practice in stage performance, and draws an important conclusion about the chief aesthetic principles in performance of the vocal that the singing skills and art expression must be an integration.
