In the 1980s, some explorers of new forms of drama were flocking to follow the western modernism. They created a number of varied, unconventional dramas. Some contents of these dramas are different from the ongoing events in Chinese society and the current reality and real life. Those plays abandoned the traditional classical drama. Yang Limin's plays are different from those plays.
