Pelevin is a new. prominent writers concerned by readers and critics in Russian literary scene after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. His works are the only bestsellers in Russia even in a hard environment for serious literature at present, it is called "Pelevin Phenomenon". His unique writing style gets great attention from people. Through the research for Pelevin, who was called "postmodernism flagman of Russia", we can see Pelevin Phenomenon is not only a unique phenomenon, but also a phenomenon originated from variation of International Postmodernism in Russian region. Russian Postmodernism has just used the forms and shell of postmodernist novels to achieve the purpose of eliminating Soviet-era ideology, and hasn't lost the nature of a significance of vector in writing, the meaning and value of writing hadn't turned into nothingness also. From that we can believe the traditional responsibility and mission of realism in Russian literature hadn't been abandoned, but got a renewed vitality in contemporary by the fusion with postmodernism. The dissertation is divided into three chapters:Chapter one"Pelevin Phenomenon" and Russian postmodernism. Pelevin is a rapidly rising writer after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, who had got a widespread concern and controversy in Russia and Europe and the United States. His works are called "the only bestsellers" of serious literature. Through the analysis of Pelevin Phenomenon, although he is called "the postmodernism flagman of Russia", we still could find some features which had been abandoned by postmodernism but existed in the traditional realism literature. His works represented regional characteristics of Russian Postmodernism, which used the forms and shell of postmodernism to achieve eliminating Soviet-era ideology purpose, and reserved the significance of traditional in literature describing which was thought important in Russian. Russian Postmodernism has represented a trend of fusion between postmodernism and the tradition of realism.Chapter two Where is Russia going to?—Intrinsic pursuit underneath the cover of nothingness. Almost every author's work has been enveloped by a unified style of "nothingness" consciousness. Through the nothingness of exploring, I've found this kind of "nothingness" consciousness was not only influenced by the traditional Russian Mysterious concept, but also a reflection of nowadays postmodernism social reality, and connected with the Oriental Buddhist awareness of author. Although the author looked all the reality as nothingness, but it's not hard to find he still hasn't detached from this state of finding an outlet to get away from nothingness, which also was finding a development path for the future of Russia. The author's nothingness awareness represented a contradiction between breaks and constructions, and a struggle of postmodernism between smash and "significance of establish". His works have shown a fusion between the postmodernist and the traditional realism at meaning level.Chapter threeThe text analysis of Pelevin's novel. We'll look into the Pelevin's novels to see postmodernism from person characters, temporal and spatial structure, intertextuality method that had been used in novels. There had been a controversy occurred in Russia and China's literature of whether Pelevin is a postmodernism writer, but nowadays most critics prefer to consider him as a postmodernism writer, and some analysis had done for the characteristics of postmodernism of him. I think Pelevin's creation had represented a new feature of postmodernism; it was a fusion of postmodernism and traditional realism, a kind of Regional Russian Postmodernism. In the present, there is almost no material take a special attention to the realism characteristics and clearly mentioned the fusion between postmodernism and realism in Pelevin's works, so the urgency of this topic is an objective reality. At the same time, postmodernism is prospers in Russian but fading in Europe and the United States, most people are thinking what will come after postmodernism, I think through the interpretation of Pelevin Phenomenon maybe could give us some inspiration. The dissertation will make a detailed exposition for the features of Russian Postmodernism Literature, and describe different characters between "Russian Postmodernism Literature" and Europe and the United States Postmodernism landscape. It enriched the Russian literary theory and is helpful for the Postmodernism Literature research both in domestic and international.
