With the continuous study and research of many experts and scholars in recent years, the national vocality has been developed into a form of art with its unique qualities. As the aesthetic level of the public is advancing, the standard for Chinese national vocality is accordingly elevating. Thus, Chinese national vocality should also advance with times. Especially with the carrying-out of China's Reform and Opening Up Policy and the put-into-places of the"Going Out"strategy, Chinese national vocality, as Chinese representative form of art, has become rather popular in the more and more frequented international communications. In order to appeal to the people worldwide, we should first explore the characteristics of Chinese national vocality. Nowadays, as the international exchange is more and more frequented, we are able to absorb the quintessence of the western vocality, yet the essence of Chinese national vocality should also be paid more attention to. We should continue to inherit and carry forward the traditions of Chinese national vocality, which have come from people and have laid a solid foundation among them. Only by scrupulously abiding by the traditional characteristics and temperaments of Chinese national vocality, incorporating things of diverse nature, making the past serve the present and foreign things serve China, and absorbing the quintessence of both foreign and traditional vocality art, can we ensure the rich national color and distinct traits of Chinese national vocality. The essay begins with the absorbing and learning of the traits from the Beijing Da Gu, one of the Music of Guqu (songs accompanied by Drums), and discusses thoroughly in a multi-dimensional way, about the feasibility of using this learning to enrich Chinese national vocality. Beijing Da Gu, the most representative form of art of singing and talking in the northern part of China, is an outstanding form of art in Chinese national art of singing, a treasure of China's national arts. According to multiple practice and scrupulous research, we contend that the highest level of singing is the pursuit of beautiful voices in the attempt to reveal the hidden artistic quality in a piece of music. Beijing Da Gu, as a constantly maturing art of singing and talking, has been thoroughly tempered during the past few hundreds of years. Thus, it has its unique expressive force in revealing the style of a piece of music. On the premises of referring to research results given by many experts and scholars, this essay explores several influencing aspects of Beijing Da Gu on the development of the national vocality. What's more, this essay further analyses the unique artistic style and singing skills of Beijing Da Gu, in order to combine it with the present national vocality teaching and singing in a organic, scientific and subtle way and finally to elevate Chinese national vocality to be a popular form of art worldwide.
