Peer review is one of the most popular methods used in foreign language writing instruction, but because of the limited class time, this method has not been successfully implemented in practice. How to help students exchange ideas with each other and offer each other feedback on their writing remains a question needing to be answered. As the computer and the internet enter people's lives, web-based instruction has become a focus of attention among teachers and researchers, but how to build a blog-based peer review writing model has not received due attention in the academic circle. This thesis is composed of five sections.The introduction explains the background, the purpose and the signifiacnce of this study.In the second section, this thesis examines writing-related concepts, the historical development of foreign language writing instruction and the current situation of English writing instruction in China.The third section introduces peer review theories and the status quo of peer review research. It then examines the concepts of blog and the advantages of integrating blog in classroom teaching.The fourth secton is devoted to developing and experimenting with a blog-based peer review model in English writing classes.In the last section, the thesis summarizes the outcome of the experiment.
