The Chin and Han Dynasties are the first unified period and the final brilliant period of ancient bronze art in China's history. In this especial historical background, the development of bronze was different from the previous generation: the traditional sacrifice ware was gradually returned to the daily utensil or die out; a variety of swere emerging or prevail in the Chin and Han. The evolvement of daily utensil is the basic of the Chin and Han bronze culture. Bronze vessels are the main part of the bronze. Through the study of bronze vessels, we can get the style of the bronze art even the arts and design of the Chin and Han.This paper selected some representative vessels to research. They were divided into traditional sacrifice ware and daily utensil: Ding, Pot, Fang, Zun, Jiao, Yu (washing), Zhi, Mou, Pen, Juan, Cup and so on.The present paper based on the practicality, which is mainly of archaeological discovery, goods handed down and mentioned in ancient literatures. In the possession of a large number of the collected data on Chin-Han bronze vessels, bronze vessels is divided into several categories according to the periods of tombs. Sum up the character from different periods. Thus I summarized the modeling and decorative evolution and geographical distribution for each type of artifacts, produced charts for the modeling evolution of important artifacts. In addition, described the use of artifacts at that time.For the change of use, the Chin-Han bronze vessels were different from Pre-Chin period bronze. The decoration techniques some succeed to the Warrior States, some started in Chin-Han. The design turned to simple and realistic from mysterious. In short, the decoration design was close to people's daily lives increasingly.
