On Gao Changhong's Early Literary And Art Thoughts

This thesis aims at carrying out an analysis on Gao Changhong's thoughts in his early literary and arts.According to the research,it is proved that the spiritual core of Gao in his mature period and that of Nietzsche seems to derive from the same origin.Both of them advocate spreading life force,the difference between them lies in that some traditional nature views of ancient China has infiltrated in Gao's thoughts.Two phrases can be used to generalize his thoughts about literary and art:"of nature"and"of expression".Based on these two theory fulcrums,this thesis will employ five chapters as follows:Chapterâ… :The Causes of Gao's Early Literary and Art Thoughts.The analysis will be completed from two perspectives:regional culture,family as well as society,which expounds the reasons leading to his special personality.Chapterâ…¡:The Gao's Core Thoughts about Early Literary and Art.Gao's core thought is of nature and expression.For one thing,he advocates naturalism;for another,also,he believes that the ideal naturalism is expressional.Chapterâ…¢:The Occurrence of Art.The problem,the origin of art proposed by Gao will be illustrated from four principal views:literature is the result of interactional force;literature is the expression of life;literature is original and civilian and literature is the product of the times.Chapterâ…£:The Expressional Ways of Art.The views to two questions will be shown:How to express art?What expressional ways acquired for excellent art.In Gao's opinion,excellent art calls for expressionism skills and innovation in form.Chapterâ…¤:The Functions of Art.Gao's unique view on art function,"art is for human".will be displayed.Gao believes that art should save humankind's lost souls,and also,art is an action,it bridging two behaviors,embodying a moving process.For a clearer and three-dimensional emergence,the connotation of Gao's early literary and art thoughts will be always put in the centre of this thesis,the dissertation is combined with his early literature works as well.
