A Research On Art Styles And Techniques Of The Birds Images In Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes's Mural

Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes(Thousand-Buddha Cave) is the largest classical art treasure trove ofthe country.Mogao Grottoes cover a thousand years'time from began the cut work in Qin Dynasty to made to termination in Yuan Dynasty.It is till preserved 492 caves in which covered 45,000 square meters' murals。In these beautiful murals,based on the content of the performance needs of Buddhism,in contrast View the murals and decorative patterns described many vivid shapes and colorful images of the birds.The birds images in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes do not exist independently.However.,as such a rich number of the birds images left in the 800 years from North Liang to Western Xia Dynasty already have highlight its distinctive artistic style of the era and rich artistic expression techniques.Mogao Grottoes mural art images of birds started from North Liang and reached it's most splendid time in Tang Dynasty.After five dynasties,they lost its luster while in Song and Western Xia times,it has lost its glorious in the past.Through these images of birds,people can not only enjoy the performance of the ancient forms and techniques but also our creation as a classic can learn from the model.So far paintings before the Tang and Song preserved very little,the image of Birds performance in such techniques is rare today,Dunhuang murals depicting images of birds show a reliability system integrity,which is unprecedented in China,that's why it occupies an important academic position.Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang murals from the dynasty of 16 countries to the Yuan Dynasty has experienced a thousand years which covers 11 Dynasties,criss-crossing and impact to each other the style tends to be further complex.the period of the murals depict images of birds reflects a different era and style characteristics.It has a special value to conduct a comprehensive and systematic study in the Dunhuang murals and decorative patterns lining part of the image of Birds of the period of artistic styles and performance techniques. This research is based on several fieldwork in Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang murals and on conducted the collation and analysis through research,access to existing historical documents and related information on the murals in the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang Making a research and analysis on the early fifth century to the thirteenth century the middle(here defined as the Northern Liang in to Xixia 397-1227 AD)on the birds images.In this paper,the murals in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes birds image is divided into three decades:early,middle and late.It will reach a more objective analysis and study on its lining and the decorative patterns in the art style and performance techniques of the birds images;as well as to conduct a comprehensive system of enlightenment on the artistic value of birds images and the bird's painting creation in China.At the same time to summarized in tabular form of It and to provide a data phase for future researchers; then to provide a precious detailed reference to the bird's painting in contemporary China.
