The Research On Speech Sounds Of Huixian Dialect

The city of Huixian,in the north of Henan Province,is in the transitional area between Taihang Mountain and Huabei Campagna,and has a common boundary of Jin and Yu dialect.Such special geographical and social environments make Huixian dialect different from both of the two dialects,and have affected the development of Huixian dialect deeply.There are 21 initials,47 finals and 5 tones in Huixian dialect.Compared with Guangyun,Huixian dialect's laws of phonetic evolution can be discovered including 12 initials' features,10 finals' features and 6 tones' features.In all of these features,the exists of rusheng and its glottal stop ending are the ultimate gists by which we could conclude Huixian dialect into Jin dialect.And they are the most two differents to Zhongyuan Mandarin in Henan Province.The changed finals and rusheng are the most notable characteristics of Huixian dialect.In the aspect of changed finals,there are 22 Z—changed finals and 14 D—changed finals in Huixian dialect.Both of the Z—changed finals and D—changed finals have plenty phraseological functions of their own and are the results of development of the archaic chinese.In the aspect of rusheng,there are 8 ru—rhyme and all of them are ended with same glottal stops.It is not sorted into voiceless and voicecl tones and its value is short and checked.After the vanishing of tail vowel in ru—tone,more ru—tone has merged with ping—tone.Looking from the styles of ru—rhymes in Jin dialect,Huixian dialect is in the middle period of the process of the ru—rhymes' unite together with most of the points in Jin dialect.Looking from the development of rusheng,we could confer that Zhongyuan Mandarin has affected a lot on Huixian dialect. On the question of attribution,considering from the slate of the dialect,the history and the immigrants of Huixian,its dialect could be a part of Huoji small piece of Hanxin field of Jin dialect.
