The author introduces brief overview of the Debate,and then researches on main topics: classical works,whether Buddhism is suitable for Xia or not,Taoism and Buddhism are the same or different,Taoism is superior to Buddhism or by contrary.The fourth part,the author makes commentary on the topics.Debate on the issues sometimes unfair since two sides are chinned with their own view,position,and interests,therefore,after researches on topics of the Debate,the author makes discussion on the topics in third party,and tries to analyze whether Buddhism or Taoism is more reasonable and realistic.The fifth part,the author studies historical influence of the Debate between Yi and Xia.The author points out that the Debate mainly has influence on three areas;these are debate between Taoism and Buddhism in later generation,transformation and development of Buddhism and Taoism,the Chinese society.
