Content:Pessimistic Emotion has always been the basic motif of the writers since ancient times. If one wants to explore why there is so much works of sadness having come out,it is necessary to pry into the author's thinking behind the text form on the foothold of pessimistic emotion. Thus, the focus of attention of the critics has always been on the sadness thinking of the authors and the tragic consciousness reflected in the work.In recent years, this concern is even more conspicuous. However,in the study of poets and poetry, commentators undoubtedly ignore the analysis of Dai Wangshu's awareness of sadness.Dai Wangshu,as a modernist poetry chief in 1930s, made indelible contributions to the Chinese new poetry and had a significant and far-reaching impact on it with the profound creation of works and the solid performance of the theoretical achievements. In the creation of poetry,he advocated "emotion" and emphasized that the rhythm of poems shouldn't be focused on words but on emotion. He declared that new poems should be equipped with the new emotion and the form to express this new emotion.Driven by this"inherent emotion", more than 90 of his poems embodied the strong pessimistic emotional consciousness. The production of the sense of sadness is closely related to the times in which he lived, as well as his temperament, personality, experience, and the cultural impact. This paper aims to analyze the origin of his pessimistic emotional consciousness, text presenting and its gain and loss.
