| As a kind of visual type,the biggest difference between documentary and other film type lies in the fact that it is a record of the arts,at the same time,its responsibility comes from this kind of record.The social function of the documentary is a good manner of publicity and education.Expect it's social function education,the documentary always have human and artistic value.By comparing the development tracks of the domestic and foreign documentary,documentary commercial value has obvious deficiency in the course of its development,the conflict among social function, artistic value and commercial value is an important issues.The documentary in China took a short several decades to achieve the process which the western need a century to accomplish.This paper analyzes several key elements which have deep influence in the development of Chinese documentary,including:social system,ideology,culture, tradition etc,extract and analyze problems in different stages.Conclusion:Learning from the experience of the foreign documentary development,reassess the social function and commercial value of documentary,the greatest development of the documentary's social values and commercial value,is the key to development documentary. |
