| False memory is an important memory phenomenon. It refers to wrong statements on the memories once presented or occurred of a never presented word or thing. Many researches show that, memory is not the exact duplications of the things that one experienced, but it may change automatically or may be influenced by the outside information. As an important part of human cognitive function, researches on false memory could probe into human cognition function;meanwhile, false memory often appears in human being's real life. So,research on false memory has important applicational value. This research takes distinctiveness heuristic theory as its frame, adopts the criterial recollection task based on word, and uses different experimental tasks to initiate different levels-of-processing effect, probes into the essence of false memory by two experimental systems. The results show that:1.With different levels of processing, the effects of false memory are different.Giving the subjects instructions of different task types,it can lead the subjects to process in different code proficiency. And the perceptual code task operation has an apparent false recognition for it is processed in shallow level. We find that with the judgment of pleasure, which means the semantic code as the deep levels of processing, performs better.2.The levels-of-processing effect is one factor for false memory, but it is not the real intrinsic reason.Instead, the essential reason for false memory is the distinctiveness heuristic caused by different levels of processing. |
