In the contemporary literary, Ye Guangqin is a remarkable figure. From almost thirty years ago, the subject matters of her works were widely involved in, and she won the national prizes many times. Zhouzhi, an old county in Shanxi, she went and became a deputy secretary in the county committee at the beginning of the new century, and she began the creation of ecological literature works there. Lots of her animal fictions contain deep ecological concerning, and are full of ecological implication similarly. As an elf in the vast field, she looks for a natural life corner which is ignored by the modern civilization, and used wisdom and efforts to build up a ring in heart.From being a symbol to gaining the dominant position, animal images in Chinese literature has undergone a gradual deepening process on creation ideas. In Ye Guangqin's animal fictions, animals are no longer silent objects, but spiritual and independent ones, who are full of dignity and emotion. The animal world in her literary puts across a concept that animals could not bear heavy weight. In addition to the animal images which pursue a harmonious life, Ye Guangqin also created three types of human characters in the ecological homeland, such as destroyer, protector and edger, to reveal the theme of the human spirit's ecological damage. Facing a worsening ecological crisis, based on revealing the animals subject value and uncovering the human spirit morass, and standing in the position that all things are equal, Ye Guangqin tried her best to search for a ideal ecological state in which human beings is in harmony with animals through reciting the harmonious beauty and searching for the ideal path.Ye Guangqin created lots of animal fictions and had gained many results, which was inseparable from the following factors, the call of the times, the influence of Taoist culture, and the writer's life experience, etc.
