Study On Aristotle's Ideology Of Value Philosophy

This article argues that Aristotle's ideology of value philosophy is a complete system, which not only focuses on former value theories, but also has special and deeply experiences. He pays great attentions to the research of ethical value, and attaches more importance to the political value,social value, and economical value.The key idea is the research of general value which is considered to be good . Aristotle's value philosophy system is constituted by six parts: essence of value, goal of value, criteria of value, evaluation of value, selection of value ,types and realization of value. Guided by the idea of"value is good"this article relates his ethical theory, political theory, and the key inspection is about Aristotle's ideology of value philosophy. The essay will illustrate Aristotle's theory of value in detail.The first part simply introduces the theoretical origins of Aristotle's ideology of value philosophy, which originates to the value ideology of the ancient Greek philosophers, the wisest men, Socrates and Plato.The second part discoures on Aristotle's ideology of value philosophy from the following four aspects. Firstly, through the analysis of definition,character and essence of value, we can point out that value is good and the essence of value is practical. Secondly, during the course of the argumentation upon Aristotle's evaluation and criteria of value, we can conclud that the doctorine of the mean which determines virtue is the criteria of value. Thirdly, the article analysis the disscusion on virtue and happiness, and clayify the ability of virtue which can promote people to choose and approach good, that the highest good(i.e happiness)is considered to be the goal of value. The principles and responsibilites of alternatives is definite too. At last, through the analysis of types of Aristotles's value,we discuss the intension and realization of end value and mean value. The third part mainly analyses the theoretical and current meanings of Arisrotle's ideology of value philosophy.In one word, with the author's perception and interpretation of Arisrotle's ideology of value philosophy, we try to build a nearly complete system of Arisrotle's theory of value. This will provide us some theoretical reference to study and develop today's value philosophy. In the mean time, Aristotle's theory of value imperceptibly agrees with the people's double earnestly strive for the present"practical world"and the ideal"ought world".
