Huji Shuhui of Shandong Province and Majie Shuhui of Henan Province are the two major Shuhui in China. In 2006, the two Shuhui have been declared the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list by the State Council. The object of this thesis is Huji Shuhui, located in Huimin country, Binzhou, Shandong Province.Huji Shuhui is also called Huji Lantern Shuhui, which has a history of 300 years and is an important folk art festival in northern China. Hu Tongli the leader of Huji shuhui, explains the reason why it is called the Huji Lantern Shuhui is that the beginning of the folk Festival is on 12 th of the first lunar month, which is aslo the first country fair after the spring festival.On that day, the local people go to acquire some goods in Huji town for the Latern Festival.There are aslo many folk performances such as watching Lanterns and to walk on stilts. At the same time the folk book-tellers come from all directions to perform their skills, which lasted for years.Huji Shuhui is an ancient and modern book market, Due to all kinds of objective reasons; it has not attracted more attention of the academic world. Compared with Majie shuhui, there are only few researchers on Huji shuhui. Most of the researchers who are almost text academics study Huji shuhui from its history, origin, composition and function.It is new and rare to study Huji shuhui from the perspective of traditional musicology .The thesis based on the theory and method of traditional musicology aims to study Huji shuhui as music industry and talks about the original economic incentives of the formation and survival of the music industry- supported the family, which reflects the book-telling artists live a hard life.The introduction paper of the thesis tells about the background information and significance of the research. Chapter I explains the relationship between Chinese folk art. Chapter II mainly talks about the book-telling artists' deep love for their hometown and the state of their survival. Chapter III says the economic phenomena existed in Huji shuhui,or the way of book-telling artists' living.Chapter IV intakes Huji shuhui for example to explain the music industry which is an ancient topic and a young one as well. This chapter aslo think Huji Shuhui on the forward-looking level. The conclusion part summarizes the economic properties of music and concludes that music industry is both ancient and young.
