In the process of China's crty modernization,social conflicts are becoming increasingly severe. Some artists with great modern ideas and intense awareness of social duty among our generation are making their best to convey their concerns by their work about"edge culture"in the era of change. A so-called documentary aesthetic from abroad has made a great influence on Chinese contempory art which has been accoladed highly by image-related field and quickly become a trend of documentary or recording form of art. For instance,a painter called Liu Xiaodong who faces directly to the busy routine of normal people reproduced images of group of people from all levels of society by a unique angle of vies.While all chinese people are paying great attention on the issue of farmer labors,another painter called Xu Weixin reveals the miserable fate of miners being a humber of disadvantaged group who lead an unchosen lives.For one thing,these documentary oil-painging works inherit the traditional realistic style in performance.For another,it's also absorbing modern factors and combining these two together.In this multi-culture circumstance,It's certain that the documentary oil-painting is one way to devebop the realistic painting.
