Autobiographical memory of personal information or personal life events experienced by the memory of mankind because of its self-awareness with emotional and personal significance of the close relationship between the complex and thus much of the popular psychologist, psychological research as a memory new areas. Williams and clinical psychology in Broadben study found that suicide and depression experienced by patients can not be required to extract a specified period of time the autobiographical memory of specific events and circumstances of the emergence of "autobiographical memory overgeneralization" phenomenon.Research shows that autobiographical memory and self-concept, the relationship between the emotional state of individuals close to become a general autobiographical memory to explore its mechanism of orientation of the new study. In this study, autobiographical memory to take the contents of specific memory paradigm to test the word clues to explore the different emotional state of self-concept and autobiographical memory of the effects of generalization.In this study, 252 university students on the "Tennessee Self Concept Scale" test, according to the level of test scores, select a positive self-concept and negative self-concept group, subjects in the excited mood state, three types of clues to the word selected to be pilot-induced to autobiographical memory, study by the autobiographical memory test of the level of generalization.The results showed that:1.Positive self-concept of the individual tend to make a summary of the negative experience of memory, negative self-concept of the individual tend to be so broadly on the positive experience of memory;2.Individual experience of a negative autobiographical memory and memory tend to generalization;3 . Positive self-concept of the individual in a positive emotional state of the autobiographical memory is lower than the level of a general negative emotional state level; negative self-concept of the individual performance of inconsistency, that is, a positive emotional state on the positive experience of autobiographical memory low level of generalization negative emotional state of a negative autobiographical memory experience a low level of generalization.
