The Study Of The Outlook On Women In The Three Great Tanci Novels

Tanci novel is a kind of Zhang-hui Style novel that mainly wrote with rhymes and little prose. Compared with Shu-chang Tanci, Tanci novels is more elegance and more comfortable for reading. Tanci novel was a typical kind of female literature. because they were wrote, spread by women,and the reader were also women.The study object of this thesis are the three great Tanci novels, which named 'Tian Yu Hua", "Zai Sheng Yuan" and "Bi Sheng Hua".On the basis of close reading, this thesis wants to analyze the outlook on women of the three works, and research on the problem with the transformation of the outlook on women, the Talent-woman culture and the prosperity of women literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasty.The outlook on female that studied in this thesis includes three aspects. The first point is women's aim of final value, including the awakening of women's self-consciousness and their aim of social value. This part researches on cross dressing in the history and women dressed like men in female Tanci novels, and analyzes the female writer how to realize herself through writing.The second point is about the agreement and chanllge to the traditional concept/including the importance of female morals, especial chastity, and the challenge to paternity ,manus maritalis and the traditional view of "a woman without talent is virtuous".The third point is about women's feelings and desires, including their concept to love and marriage. The stories of talented scholar married talented girl reflected that women hoped to be their husband's parter but not belonged to them. The image of madwoman in the three works reflected women's repressed desires.Tanci novel was a typical kind of female literature, and the three great novels were the classises of them. Allowing for their feature ,this thesis researches on the ourlook on female of them ,and hope to do some help to China's female literature.
