On The Comic Elements In The Hebrew Bible

The Hebrew Bible's literature value has appealed fever academic intreset. Researchers eludicate it from different points and get abundant results. However, it had little attention on The Hebrew Bible's comic reseach long time ago. In western, some reaschers have tried to analyze some sections and chapters' comic contents from Narratology etc different point of view, but lack of integrity and still with some deficiencies. In our country, due to the pinch of related data, there is almost blank on this subject. Due this situation,this article tries to analyze its comic character, plot and language to unfold its comic aesthetical meaning in the light of Western Classic Comedy theory and Bakhtin's Carnival theory.The text contains three parts: preface, body,and conclusion.The introduction firstly defines the text's object and theory category, then reviews the revelent academic rasearch history , and sums up present study situation ,fmally establishes the meaning and viewpoints of this article.The body of the text includes two chapters.Chapter I :Research into the western comedy aesthetics and The Hebrew Bible literature.It has two parts:The first part defines the comedy category ,and explains its meaning development history and the relationship with The Hebrew Bible .The second part analyzes the possiblity of this research from Hermeneutics and Receptive Aesthetics viewpoit.Chapter II; the analysis on the comic elements of The Hebrew Bible .It have three parts:the first part poits out the comic character in The Hebrew Bible,such as Esther,Jacob,Balaam etc. The second part analyzes its comic plot from comic conflict,such as misapprehension,disguise,delay etc, and the comic ending from Bakhtin's Carnival theory. The third part study on its comic language from riddle, pun, irony, repetition etc. By these comic elements analysis and the hebrew's unique national spirite,social culture etc consideration , the writer gives a sketch of the literary and aesthetics significance of ancient hebrew cultureThe conclusion sums up the writer's standpoint, and concludes its comic expression, literary feacture ,history and culture origin.It also indicates that the research will not only contribute to enrich The Hebrew Bible's literary value, but also make further unstand the orient nations' aesthetics taste, which claim monism,harmony, equilibrium and ration's inhibition on emotion emotion.This will also make a great effective on interdisciplinary study of Comparative Literature.
