A Study On Peng Liyuan's Art Of Opera Performance

The national opera of China was evolved in the twenties of the 20th century, through the development of nearly 90 years,a lot of excellent opera appeared.They represent our national spirit and reflect the features of our era.As the births of these outstanding opera,large quantities of famous national opera performing artists are produced.They moulded vivid images,which influence and encourage several generations.Peng Liyuan is the most representative singer among them.Peng Liyuan is a most famous contemporary soprano with the strongest influence in China,a leader of national vocal music in our country.Her audiences spread all over various age strata,and her songs have become the signs of our times,the songs of the masses.The songs that she sings are abundant,she is not only good at singing the solo of various kinds but also has opened up the field of national opera performance.The opera she has stared or performed for the first time include《White Hair Girl》,《Daughter of the Party》,《Sorrowful Dawn》,《The Poem of Hua Mulan》;She has participated in producing classic Chinese opera such as《Xiao Erhei Gets Married》,《Sister Jiang》,《Liu Hulan》,《Red Guards of Honghu》,《Red Coral》.Those strong,brave,beautiful, ripe,positive and upward women in different eras that Peng Liyuan has moulded in these opera leave deep impressions and enlightenment on the people.Through analysing 3 national opera《White Hair Girl》,《Daughter of the Party》and《The Poem of Hua Mulan》,the article analyzes Peng Liyuan's unique artistic charm and great contributions made for our national opera.The article is divided into five parts:Introduction:the overview of Chinese national opera development,Peng Liyuan's art life and her pluralistic singing style.Chapter one:Peng Liyuan's three stages on the opera stage—Imitating stage,ripe stage and innovative stage.Chapter two:analysis of Peng Liyuan's singing skill in the three operas through concrete opera selections.Chapter three:analysis of the personalities of the roles in the opera by analyzing Peng Liyuan's performance and the personality moulding of the characters.Conclusion:summary of Peng Liyuan's unique artistic charm in opera performance.
