It is a basic ambiguous phenomenon for lexical ambiguity. In order to reveal verb ambiguities'resolution process in neuter sentence context and biased sentence context, eye tracking method was used. The results showed that:1. Meanings of verb ambiguities were accessed in order of their relative frequency in the neutral sentence context. However, in the biased sentence context, effects of relative frequency were not found at early of verb ambiguities'meaning access.2. Disambiguating information has different function when presented at different position in sentence. In the neutral context disambiguating information play a role of selection and integration of the meaning which has already been activated. Meanwhile, in the biased context disambiguating information not only can activate the appropriate meaning but also can inhibit the inappropriate meaning of verb ambiguities.3. All of the results suggest support integration model.
