In recent years ,the study on personality structure of children of different culture was extremely noticed by researchers of western countries .Though the study of adults'personality structure was relatively mature ,that of children'personality was still weak.Researchers of western countries have studied the personality structure of children in some degree ,the results of these studies were different in some aspects. so ,the research will be carried on the base of entire Chinese culture , developing a rating questionnaire for evaluating personality of Chinese children personality structure and analyze the characteristic of children'personality development .Study1: Qualitative research on personality structure of aged 3~6 children by teachers'free description and lexicology。Open-end survey was made in large range of China.meanwhile teachers choose the proper words which fit to describe children personality from the Wang Deng-feng'word sets and write out the personality behaviors .Then the materials were coded ,gathered ,and classified ,personality traits were found out.The two studies provided foundation for the subsequently qualitative researches.Study 2:According to the consequence of the qualitative research ,Chinese and western personality theories ,a questionnaire of personality of chinese preschool children were made in this study. By experts'rating ,explorative and confirmative factor analysis ,the Chinese preschool children's personality structure of teachers'rating were established and the personality scale of children aged 3~6 were developed.Study 3: According to the data analysis of the personality scale of children aged 3~6 established after confirmative factor analysis, exploring the personality developmental characteristics of preschool children.The conclusions were arrived at as follows:1 Qualitative research on personality structure of children by teachers'free description and lexicology。The result suggested that personality structure of children is composed of seven dimensions:prosocialbehavior,intelligence,self-consciousness,willfactor,interiorization\exteriorization,emotionality activity level .These dimensions include 35 traits.2 the Chinese preschool children'personality structure based on teachers'rating included five dimensions,namely intellect/ self-consciousness, will factor, interiorization&exteriorization/ activity level, prosocial behavior, emotionality. The personality scale of children aged 3~6 were developed in this study, and this questionnaire attain good psychometric properties.3 The study on the personality developmental characteristics of preschool children suggested:during the stage of young children aged three to six ,there were significant differences in the all five dimensions.The post Hoc test declared the personality development was relatively quick from class aged three to class aged four.Meantime ,this study suggested ,the marks of girls were significantly more than that of boys in the dimension of intellect/ self-consciousness,will factor, prosocial behavior.There was no significant difference in emotionality and interiorization& exteriorization/ activity level...
