Study On The Comment In History Of The Later Han Dynasty

The comment and admiration is an indispensable part of historical records, which is a genre to discuss the history and express author's views. The comment in History of the Later Han Dynasty is the most characteristic part in the historical records of ancient Chinese. The thesis will give an analysis to History of the Later Han Dynasty about the preface,the comment,the admiration, discussing the character of style, the content of ideology and the feature of art.The thesis includes six parts. Based on the comprehensive related research records, the introduction gives a brief explanation to the significance of choosing this subject. The first chapter mainly conducts an authentication on the preface,the comment,the admiration of the style feature and gives an illustration to their distribution and function in the History of the Later Han Dynasty. In the second chapter, mainly analyzing the reason of why FanYe composed the comments painstakingly, and giving prominence of strong self-consciousness of FanYe, based on comparison it with the prevenient comment and admiration in historical records. In the third chapter, the author analyses the intended purpose in History of the Later Han Dynasty. Firstly, the purpose of comment which was written by Fan Ye is for sortting out the successes and failures of a generation; Secondly, there are many difference methods of commentting figures between FanYe and others. The fourth chapter analyzes the view on Confucianism in comments. Comments of History of the Later Han Dynasty which incarnated dense Confucian values and animadverted on the theory of divination, affirmed the role of education of Eastern Han Dynasty Confucianism. The issues above is analyzed and discussed the reasons of praise the Confucianism highly. In the last chapter, the paper analyzes the artistic features of comment in History of the Later Han Dynasty, based on the comment of expression, words of expression, language form.
