The Mythology In Zhang Wei's Novel

Mythology is one of the important expression patterns in folk literature and it takes a significant part for its national wide popularity and its multiple ideology. The fanous contemporary Chinese writer, Zhang Wei, Who is not only an idealist writer but aslo an ardent one who tries to express his pursuance by the creative pattern and the prototype of mythology combines his novel with mythology closely.Some literature theory takes the literature as the shift of mythology, that is many writers produce their works by the reference of the creative pattern and the prototype of mythology. The novels of Zhang Wei are usually the one specifically combined with the mythology, no matter his idealism, folk affection and vagrant consciousness or his creation of prototype mythological characters, the operation and expression of mythology narration pattern are expressing his character of mythology.The distinguished mythological prototype criticist弗莱expaned the mythological prototype into the study of literature works and put forward the theory of study the prototype structure and image of mythology. This paper studies the factors and characters of mytholgy contained in Zhang Wei's novels by the idea of mythological prototype criticism and mainly dicusses the special combination of his novel and mythology from three parts.Firstly, the paper analyzes the idealism and folk affections contained in Zhang Wei's novel together with the analysis of these consciousness with the pursuances in the mythology, thus to find out the common ideology and their link poins.Secondly, it expounds on the creation of the characters in Zhang Wei's novel and reveals the similarities of these characters and the prototype characters deposited in the mythology from the the characters' heart, humanity, and ideal etc. These prototype characters mainly can be divided into three groups: tough guy and hero, effeminacy and rigid woman and bloody devil. At last, the paper expatiates the narration pattern and expression method of Zhang Wei's novel including the structre pattern, the insertion of myth stories, the setting of myth conditions and images, and the using of methods of fabrication, imagination and symbolism together with the poetic language.
