On The Creative Art Songs By Beethoven Characteristics

Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827),a great German composer, was one of the representatives of Vienna classical music,with the main works in the fields of symphony,piano music,chamber music, and concerto etc.At the same time,he was also a pioneer of German artistic songs(Lied).Regarding the creation of vocal music,there are sixty-six artistic songs and the unique opera Fidelio.In the early years, the songs he composed were almost Strophes of Volkstumliches Lied.In the later years,he used the elements of drama and symphony in his creation and composed many solos perfectly matched the plots. Compared with his creation on other instrumental music,the influence of his artistic songs was dwarfed.Especially in our country,we can rarely find out any introduction,translation,printed music scores or studies about his artistic songs.In my opinion,although we should focus our study on Beethoven's main artistic contributions,it does not mean that we can ignore those works,which is not leading,because his artistic songs also enjoyed a prominent historical position.This essay is composed of three parts.It analyzes and discusses the composition of artistic songs of Beethoven from the following ways: the background of aesthetic thought,the process and techniques of creating works,and the role linking.The fist part mainly describes the background of his creating in artistic songs from the social background, aesthetic thought,the impacts of classical German traditions,overall development of German artistic songs and the humanitarian significance on Beethoven.The second part analyzes his creation techniques from the aspects of subjects,genre,tune development methods,harmonic language,tone,mode,musical structure anal piano accompaniment.The third part is the summary for Beethoven's inheritance and innovation.
