Application Of Task-based Language Teaching In Computer And Web-based College English Teaching

Computer and web based college English teaching reform has been carried out throughout the country and has achieved positive results. However, problems arose with the in-depth development of the reform. How to apply computer and web efficiently in college English teaching to improve students'English application has become a new topic in the implementation of reform. This thesis took Hebei University as an example, the author conducted a research on the situation of college English teaching reform in this university and proposed a new teaching model, to apply task-based language teaching to CWBCET. In order to examine the effectiveness of this model, the author conducted an experiment among her students who entered Hebei University in 2006. Score Comparison through EXCEL and SPSS16.0, questionnaires and interview were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching model. Results showed that the combination of TBLT and CWBCET did improve teaching and students'comprehensive ability in English learning.
