The Study Of LingNan Fole-Style In GuangZhou Export Paintings Of Qing Dynasty

Canton export painting in Qing Dynasty that was exported to European and American countries as one art merchandise in 18-19 century was the generation of East-West cultural exchange,and a special kind of painting with civil characteristics.The literatures and images are combined in this paper.Based on an observing and studying on the export paintings of custom theme with carefulness,and consulting the Chinese historical chorography and western documents,this paper is going to expand on discussing from three aspects.The creation of export painting and its western appreciative groups were explored in the first chapter,and the conclusion is that those both are the precondition of that folk-custom of LingNan can be presented on the export painting.In order to distinguish authenticity and reliability of the folk-custom being presented on the export painting,different kinds of folk-custom themes will be analyzed and expatiated in the second and third chapter by interpreting all of the images,for the sake of confirming their real value.In the fourth chapter,the social status and the painting skills of the export painters will be explored,the drawing mode of export painting are also discussed,it can be deduced that other custom paintings are learned by the specific contents of civil topic in the export paintings.In conclusion,Canton export painting recorded abundant customs and manners, provides the most valuable image information for the study of regional folk-culture in Qing Dynasty.It should be affirmed the historical and cultural values from these paintings.Otherwise,for the reason of the export painters' low literacy,the export painting was more productive than creative.The related contents of folk-custom presented certain mistakes and pretermissions in the paintings,cannot connect with the reality.Thus,it need to distinguish different kinds of things of civil society being implicated in the export paintings.
