Investigate The Status Of Vocal Class And Compile Vocal Teaching Materials For The Third Age University Of Shanghai

The purpose of this study was to determine the status of the vocal teaching Situation at the Third Age University of Shanghai. The main content contained teaching situation, student's learning attitude, and student's application about the vocal class. Based on the survey results, a comprehensive vocal material for primary level of senior citizens was compiled.The methods of this study consisted two parts. Firstly, a questionnaire was applied. The samples included 283 vocal class students of the Third Age University of Shanghai. Based on existing researches, the researcher compiled the questionnaire "Investigation on vocal class status of the Third Age University of Shanghai" as a research tool, the data was analyzed by descriptive statistics t- test.And then ,a vocal material for primary level of senior citizens was developed and compiled.The main conclusion includes:1. Female students in vocal class of the Third Age University of Shanghai, reached 86.4%; the student usually generally have higher education background; however, they all do not have vocal learning experiences and tended to have more positive attitude to attend the vocal class.2. Beside the headquarter school of the Third Age University of Shanghai to compiled vocal materials, other school's materials all provided by their teacher; All schools provided essential teaching aid for vocal class, the technical training belongs art; The performance always as student's examination.3. The student's attitude to participate vocal study is very high; Overall recognition to the teacher is very high; More than half of the students want to participate social adult vocal Examination.4. Suburb and urban district student's attitude is small difference to the teaching material; But there has remarkable difference to teaching condition,teaching equipment and school's administration , Suburb student's satisfaction degree is lower than the urban district.5. After investigation and teaching practice, Author compiled primary comprehensive vocal materials for the Third Age University of Shanghai.
