Study On Product Organic-prototype Design

A new economy, the Experience Economy, is coming rapidly. It is the Forth Economy after the Production Economy, Commodity Economy and Service Economy. The users do not only pay attention to the good look or the function, but also to the experience the product bring to them. The users should feel happy, interested and easy in the experience.Prototyping is an essential course in product design. The level of the prototype is relation to that of production. At the same time, there are two big problems in prototype design. One is almost of the traditional prototype cannot test the Experience-effect. Thus there should be a new kind of prototype is of this function. Another is that the prototype design has an"essential"method:"fail fast", which wastes the materials and energy, destroys the environments, what else it may be threatening the human living.The author put forward a new conception: the Product Organic-prototype. This kind of prototype has the experience testing function and the course is harmonious to environment. Nature-harmonious and life-interaction are its two distinguished features. Some design principles and methods are also brought forward in this thesis. The new prototype design theory will help people to overcome the two big problems in prototype design.
