Cognitive style is a term used to refer to the manner in which people perceive, conceptualize, organize and recall information. Field independence / dependence which was introduced by American famous psychologist Witkin had great important meaning and has become the hot issue in linguistics research. Technical Education is an important kind of practical education which is developing fast and is paid attention to . Listening plays an important role in English teaching and learning. Teachers'feedback is an useful education method. If teachers make good use of it, it will receive better educational effect.This thesis proves three hypotheses through analyzing the relationship between teacher's feedback , field independence/dependence of technical college students and listening comprehension .These three hypotheses are:1 .Different Cognitive Styles have different ways to deal with information ,so the technical college students of different Cognitive Styles will have different reactions to the teachers'feedback.2. With or without the teachers'feedback., positive or negative teachers'feedback. have different effects on the listening comprehension of technical college students.3. Different teachers'feedback. and different Cognitive Styles both have different effects on the listening comprehension of technical college students.Based on the analysis of the data ,the thesis comes the conclusion:1. Compared with the No Teachers'Feedback and the Positive Teachers'Feedback ,the Negative Teachers'Feedback has a good effect on listening comprehension of the Technical College Students of FI. But the No Teachers'Feedback and the Positive Teachers'Feedback have no obvious effect on listening comprehension of the Technical College Students of FI.2. Compared with the No Teachers'Feedback and the Negative Teachers'Feedback ,the Positive Teachers'Feedback has a good effect on listening comprehension of the Technical College Students of FD. And the Positive Teachers'Feedback also has a good effect on listening comprehension of the Technical College Students of FD, but less than the Positive Teachers'Feedback .The long-time No Teachers'Feedback has a bad effect on listening comprehension of the Technical College Students of FD.At last, according to the characteristics and division of FI/FD, teachers can adapt different kinds of methodologies orientating students' different cognitive styles.1 .The teachers should give the student the teachers'feedback immediately according different students.2. The teacher should know the different Cognitive Styles of every student's and give them different feedback orientating students' different cognitive styles.3. The teacher should give the teachers'feedback immediately,in many ways,and not only one time.4.The teachers'feedback is not only to find the students'mistakes. 5. The teachers'feedback should be given clearly and students can understand it well.
