A Study On The Chinese Conceptual Photography In The Contemporary Culture Context

Contemporary Chinese society has undergone major changes,which especially effect the development of culture. Contemporary culture in China has characteristics of diversified, visualization, multimedia and consumer-oriented. Art is related to culture closely, the change of contemporary culture have a profound impact on the concept, form and behavior of contemporary art in China, the emergence of conceptual photography is a remarkable outcome.The emergence and development of conceptual photography, has reasons come from external and internal, the external is the great changes of contemporary culture , the internal is that traditional photography are need transformation from the photographic subject, theme, language, forms, etc. Conceptual photography has a strong sense of reality,it expanded the understanding of the photography ontology, perfected the system of photographic aesthetic. These features are an extension of characteristics of contemporary culture in photography. Of course, the contemporary conceptual photography in China has some disadvantages,which are closely linked with the features of photography's languages, the leapfrog development mode of photography, and the humanistic quality of photographers such as.The thesis first analyse the status and features of contemporary culture, then carding contemporary art which influenced by contemporary culture, I want to set up a relationship between culture and conceptual photography. After sum up the conception and development of conceptual photography, the thesis summarized characteristics and lackness of conceptual photography. After analyse and reserch about conceptual photography from a practical point of view and a high degree of academic, I conclude that the development of conceptual photography in China, first of all, should carry out accurate grasp, intervention and criticism the current society of China. Secondly, we should find the value of conceptual photography in the context of the humanities, create the images that can reveal and express our true state of existence, provoke the profoundly thought about lives and human life in the future. And making it to become one part of the system of contemporary Chinese cultural value.
