There has been a correlation between Design and Culture all along , the cause of which is that the core of design works'function, structure and pattern is the style of life,it is consistent with the representation of culture.Therefore,design is a representation of human'demand on culture.The affluence of social material and the appearance of new design theory will cause a phenomenon that design lean to think with a cultural perspective.Culture changes,then there coming the change of design . As design theory, redesign describes the latent character of the change happening in design movements.Accordingly, redesign has a complex connection with the transformation of culture. Consequently,what redesign focus on is not only the transformation of design caused by cultural movement,but also the interaction effect between design and culture after rethinking and executing on design.The thesis takes commodity ,which is closely linked with human's daily life,as a carrier to import the theory of redesign,and according to the academic analysis of redesign's development within cultural dimensionality and the discussion of design case inland and abroad,the reification of design method and the direction of design theory will come to a summing-up.Sequentially,design will hold a more deeply comprehension on culture and the mutation of design,which will supply references to the design of commodity even other products, and will be helpful to the further development and maturity of design.According to the purpose and content of research, Basing on the association of macroscopical summarization and microcosmic dissertation,the thesis is made up of six proportions. The exordium imports the possibility and feasibility of the research on redesign,and summarizes the epitome of the thesis;The first chapter discusses the concept and background of redesign,and then ascertains the range of redesign's concept.The second chapter introduces the concept of culture and discusses the relation between design and culture,coming with the cultural influence on redesign; The third chapter takes commodity for a start to unscramble the cultural factors of commodity,furthermore, the cultural factors of redesign are analyzed; As the most important part in this thesis, The fourth chapter analyzes the commodity redesign to get the principle of design,and then educes the prediction that contained by redesign on the base of current design theory;The epilogue elicits a summing-up of the thesis,and suggests the possibility of continued research.
