Salvador Dali, Spanish surrealist, is one of the most famous master painters in the world. His work is known for Subconsciousness in Painting. Dali's painting extends the theory of surrealism and become important creators of many examples. Constantly, Dali respected the excellent traditional cultures and applies traditional painting techniques into the concept of modern art. The subconscious theory of Freud and Einstein's theories has academically significance for Dali. His creation not only has profound meaning but also in an involved style and details of reality out of absurdity. Dali tries to make many researches on the development of the visual symbolic meaning. He made an importantly contribution in that field. His theory had a far-reaching impact on the entire 20th century and contemporary art.Based on related literatures and pictures, this paper mainly researches the meaning of theory and practice of Dali's surrealist art and tries to make an analysis on Dali's exploration on the Art of visual symbol, connotation and valueof his art. There are five chapters in this paper; one of the main threads is subconscious art theory and painting practice of Dali. Following are the highlights of Dali's art in four main areas. How to unconsciously achieve dialogues consciousness during inherit excellent traditional culture? How to achieve the combination between traditional arts and the modern ones by a modern figure? How is Dali's subconscious theory and practice? What is the important modern meaning of Dali's art? The main innovation of this essay is that from the angle of the Science of image analysis with Dali's exploration on the Art of visual symbol.Now few people are noticing within domestic academic circle. It is of great importance to analysis the art of Dali's painting.
