Study On Zhuxi's Outlook Of Righteousness And Benefit

The outlook of righteousness and benefit is a central question in the system of Zhuxi's ethics, which forms the basic principle of the Confucian morality. In this thesis, I mainly discuss the outlook of righteousness and benefit presented in The Four Books' Variorum and Zhuzi's Quotation and Collected Works, and analyzes its basic connotation. On the basis of discussion and analysis, I distinguish the advantage and disadvantage of Zhuxi's outlook of righteousness and benefit. In the first section of this thesis, I will expound the theoretician basis of Zhuxi's outlook of righteousness and benefit. In the second section, I will explore the theoretician guide and the many connotations. Finally, I manage to explore the character and disadvantage of Zhuxi's outlook of righteousness and benefit.
