Research On Nanjing Liberation Mode During The Liberation War Period

The liberation of Nanjing, different from that of other big cities such as Tianjin, Peking and Suiyuan ect, is an entirely new way of liberation in the history of Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese People's liberation army, which deserves to be acclaimed"Nanjing Liberation Mode". The liberation of Nanjing was brought about peacefully by the joint efforts of the Nanjing underground party members of CCP, which is the inside factor in the mode, also the main force, and the people's liberation army, which is the outside force, an indispensable premise, both absolutely necessary. And the liberation of Nanjing is different from other former such liberations in many respects like the main force, the cooperation of the inside and outside factors, the liberation steps and so on. Therefore, Nanjing liberation is supposed to be a brand-new liberation mode.The research theme is Nanjing liberation mode with analyses chiefly involving the performing process, the main causes, features as well as the historical significance in the way of Nanjing liberation. The article is divided into three parts. The introductory part describes two aspects as following, one is to define the Nanjing Liberation Mode and analyze it briefly in theory; the other is to make some presentation about the current research situation concerning this topic and its research significance as well. The body part makes accounts of Nanjing liberation mode from three aspects. Firstly, its realization, the liberation army headed south across the Yangzi River, making the enemy's line of defense into rapid collapse; meanwhile the 35th army corps insisted fighting on the other side of the river, heavily damaging the Kuomintang's fortress in the north side. Hence, Nanjing was exposed directly under the threat of our side. Secondly, the Nanjing underground party persisted in subterranean fight in the long run, played a crucial role at the critical moment of Nanjing liberation and turned out to the main force. Finally, with the comprehensive effects of various forces, Kuomintang ran away, leaving Nanjing an empty city, so that Nanjing had the chance of being liberated peacefully and preserved in comparative completeness. In this way, Nanjing liberation mode came into being. The third part makes some accounts about the main causes, features and historical significance of the Nanjing liberation mode.The research methodology is based on the demonstration approaches of history, putting relevant theories and analyzing methods of politics into some integrated application. The research purposes also come down to two respects. On the one hand, the thesis strives to approach the history as close as possible, holding the original features of Nanjing liberation in greatest esteem and enriching its theoretical research. On the other hand, since the realization of Nanjing liberation mode is on the basis of Nanjing underground party, why could they hold on to the very end under such harsh fighting circumstances to play such a powerful part in the war? It is expected that the discussion about the characteristic fight of the Nanjing underground party, and the further probe into its organization structures, fighting strategies as well as the merits of the party members could make some contributions to the party construction and the party advanced quality education nowadays.
