English learning is very difficult for Chinese students and has become a key issue for researchers to find out the main factors influencing the students'learning results. English classroom anxiety is one of the most important factors, so it will be helpful for students to reduce and relieve the anxiety in class. Self-efficacy on English learning is another influencing factor for students'achievements. This essay focuses on the research on the characteristics of English classroom anxiety of postgraduates in China's sports colleges and the influence of English classroom anxiety on the learning achievements. In addition, Self-efficacy on English learning is introduced in this essay with the purpose of figuring out the function mechanism on anxiety in class and learning achievements.121 postgraduates studying in the first year to the third year are chosen as the research group, and table for English classroom anxiety and questionnaires for Self-efficacy on English learning are adopted as the research tools. In the meantime, the test results from both the postgraduate entrance exams and proficiency exams are collected. SPSS 15.0 is adopted to deal with the collected statistics. Analyze methods are T-test, correlation analysis, variance analysis and regression analysis. With the help of all the above, the following research outcomes are found out:1. English classroom anxiety of postgraduates in sports colleges is a little below mid-level. Among the four elements resulting in English classroom anxiety, students have the highest anxiety on English proficiency and the lowest anxiety on nervousness. There is no big difference of English classroom anxiety on grades and sex.2. Postgraduates'English classroom anxiety in sports colleges can be used to forecast the test results from postgraduate entrance exam and proficiency exam; however, the forecasting shows the negative relationship between the level of English classroom anxiety and the test results. The higher the level of anxiety, the lower the test results are.3. Postgraduates'Self-efficacy on English learning can also forecast the test results from postgraduate entrance exam and proficiency exam and the positive relationship is reflected. The lower Self-efficacy on English learning, the higher the study achievements are.4. There is also an obvious relationship between English classroom anxiety and Self-efficacy on English learning of postgraduates in sports colleges.5. Postgraduates'Self-efficacy on English learning plays the role of intermediary between English classroom anxiety and English learning achievements.
