Brief Discussion On Human Productivity

Productivity concept is the core area and argument "cornerstone"of historical materialism, which directly relates to the understanding and construction of Marx's historical materialism theory. Based on the reality of poor material production of that time,the traditional theory of productivity conceived the productivity as humanbeing's ability of "conquering and transforming nature" and "obtaining materials", which theoreticaly deviated from the basic spirit of Marx's productivity theory and practically resulted to the deterioration of the natural ecological environment and people's one-sided and deformative development,thus leading to people's reconsideration of the productivity concept; According to today's productivity development,contemporary interpretations of productivity emphasize the important role in productivity development of intelligence elements such as science,technology,knowledge,information and non-intelligence elements such as morality, emotion, will and the social and organizational systems,mechanisms,management,etc. They also offeres a series of new productivity concept such as "Science and technology productivity", " knowledge productivity" , "management productivity" and "aesthetic productivity". To some extent, Although it innovates productivity concept, results to the "generalization" of productivity concept, especially it still not beyond the stereotype of the old productivity concept particularly duing to its purpose and focus on "production".The relation between Productivity growth and human development in contemporary must be re-examed,which will experience a process of "primitive unity-splitting and confrontation reunifying".According to Marxist view,productivity growth and human development is a unity of means and purpose as well as a unity of two fundamental dimensions on which the social progress can be measured and evaluated,and human survival and development is the ultimate concern and the fundamental value of the productivity development.The deterioration of ecological environment, people's overall alienation and disillusionment of instrumental rationality all enlighten us to interpret productivity innovatively and focus the value of productivity on humanbeing's development,which is the major theme of the times and responsed by the appearance of human productivity. Human productivity is the only way for future development of productive forces which emphasizes organic unity of productivity growth, good ecology and human development. The scientific concept of development proposed by the Chinese Government is the appearance of modern human productive path, which regards people-centered development as a core value pursuit and the harmonious development between humanbeing and nature and among people as a basic value target. The concept of scientific development radically innovates development concept and development mode and opens up a new mileage of harmonious development among productivity and humanbeing and nature, which reflects a new concept of productive forces and human studies.The development of human productivity is specific and historical. In order to achieve the development of human productivity, we should completely eliminate class exploitation and realize fundamental equality in social status of all members of society. We should have a great development of productive forces so as to increase the material wealth of society. We should constantly emancipate the mind so as to get rid of erroneous thoughts such as "material first", "money talks"and worship of instrumental rationality. In future communist society, social equity and justice maximumly achieved, material productive forces highly developed, people's spiritual state greatly improved, productivity growth and human development will have achieved a high degree of unity and everyone will have enjoyed a comprehensive and free development.
