| Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) has arisen in 1980s and turned out to be an influential teaching approach. Based on the theory of second language acquisition, TBLT is developed as the logic advancement of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). Consequently, the Intensive Reading courses for English majors,, are being reformed in primary, secondary and tertiary education. Nevertheless, few researches and practical study on TBLT application in Intensive Reading courses are available in domestic teaching realm.
