Nowdays, Labanotation has not become the world' s general notation yet, but it has been translated into many languages, it has be accepted and used widely in the world most developed country. Labanotation was used widely because it found by body movement scientific research-based, based on principle of anatomy, physics, mathematics, music and other subjects. This is a major breakthrough of the method of field of human movement recorded.In order to promote labanotation to be understond and studied better by Chinese people . This paper writed which includ principles and functions of labanotation, base on the study and collection of information and research of labanotation. In this paper, started by researching history of human exploration dance record .by comparing the way , it was introduced labanotation face setting, the scientific design of movement symbol. Laban digging through the spectrum of dance background, this paper discuss on other subjects foundation of Labanotation system which based on. By this, this paper describes labanotation' s multiple functions and scientific values with a large number of facts so that more people can understand its values and promote to its popularity. At the same time, It prompted us to understand the science of human movement and the scientific development of dance arts through studying labanotation.
