Death and survival are closely linked to a community. If life is a river, the river can also be called the river of death. Death is inevitable that everyone, from the moment of birth, is walking toward death step by step, and no one can escape death. When the roaring waves of the river of death floods the efforts that people have done in this world, people should go to die with some graceand dignity, free and easy. The result of death is insignificant, while the attitude to death is crucial. In the process of exploring and excavating the death aesthetic, the philosophers and thinkers try to transcend death, and it is more important for people to recognize the significance of the beauty of death than to observe the beauty of survival. The beauty of death is a deap beauty, in which the quality of eternal beauty is involved. This paper attempts from the philosophical thinking on the metaphysic theory of survival of the existentialists about the "death", generalizes the death views, explaines them using the aesthetic thought, summarizes the philosophical thought on the theory of survival based on the philosophy of death in existentialism, surveys the aestheticization of life, and finally discusses the significance of modern aesthetics of the philosophy of death in existentialism. The author believes that the research on the philosophy of death in existentialism can contribute to help people to respect and cherish life, gather the courage to take on the responsibility of self, others and the whole world, and create a meaningful life by the optimistic view of death, achieve the transcendence of the existing world, and finally reach the artistic and aesthetic world.
