Kumarajiva translation of the Lotus Sutra is the basic classic of Tiantai. As the development of Buddhism in China, an important position in the same, the overwhelming majority of the research has focused on the Buddhist doctrine. But for the people most of who did not have in-depth understanding of Buddhist teachings, the most prominent places are the verses describing the wonders of the world, and Kuan Yin and other deities to play the actual role in life. That is, scripture is not to attract them to the profound moral principles implied, but the text of the expression. In this paper I want to study in, is the Lotus Sutra shown the characteristics of spatial is same to the Chinese traditions and customs. This is also an important reason for making this scripture to spread.This article is divided into the preamble, the three parts of the body, and conclusion.I preface a brief review of narrative theory of space in the world as well as domestic research, points out its shortcomings, and the structure of the article made a rough division.Text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter, manifestations of narrative space-cutting time. This section first analyzes the basic content of each chapter of Lotus Sutra. From the analysis of the Chinese version of the prominent and Buddhist philosophy are consistent with the time axis of time and space characteristics.Chapterâ…¡, manifestations of narrative space-expand space. This section highlights the rhetorical approach used in the texts. From this analysis of narrative texts and their ideas we can found that the text not generated the same result what is shown by the space of narrative.Chapterâ…¢, characteristics of Narrative of spatial. The previous analysis can be summarized as two features, which is a concentrated expression of spatial narrative. Non-narrative and re-rendering are used for breaking the time chain,and from this, we can found the same characteristics between the narrative of Lotus Sutra and the Chinese way of thinking which makes the Lotus Sutra become the Buddhist scriptures that ordinary people can accept. Chapter IV, the narrative space of Lotus Sutra and Chinese Tradition. In this chapter, I briefly analyze the spatial characteristics of Chinese thought which can be proved in the traditional narrative and compared the Chinese traditional narrative and the Lotus Sutra.Conclusion part is a brief analysis of the topic selection process and the research methods, the ideas to make some attempt.
