The Contemporary Picture Of Rural China Under The Modern Perspective

Local fiction has been the subject and the center of Chinese literature during the twentieth century, and the study about it has never been broken, Now encouraging results about the research methods and the characteristics of other genres have been achieved. But combination of the Modern Perspective with the reality of Rural China are rare, In this article, the author extracts the "modern nation-state", "industrial civilization and its reflection", "post-modern context" from the complex Western Modernity, with the novel describing the change of the country as a carrier. By analyzing the case of representative writer of different stages, the author tries to depict the difficult process of Chinese modernization transition, and reveal the unique contemporary picture of Rural China under Modern Perspective.First, in the article the author summarizes the current situation introduction of the local fiction in the introduction, establishes the study of combination of the reality of Rural China and the representative writer of different stages for the case analysis. Clarifies the unique and importance about transformation of Rural China under the Modern Perspective.In Chapter I, the author takes Zhao Shuli as an example during the mid-20th century, to analyze the contemporary works of other writers which are all involved in new construction of modern nation-state, and contribute to the demonstration the rationality and the legitimacy of modern nation-states, in order to find out the Reconstruction of the value of Modernity under the imagination of the new nation-state. Also, the author points out the inevitable defects of Utopian caused the ideological norm.In chapter II, the author points out that the irrupting in the modern industrial civilization, the Rural China suffers a lot in process of transition, In his works, Jia Pingwa implies "the conflict of tradition and modern", "the metaphysical thinking of home" and "the ecological awareness", Which Shows the reflection of the modern industrial civilization.In the third chapter, the author focuses that at the turn of the century the Rural China is suffering an unprecedented complex historical context. The airborne of "Postmodern" makes "local" face a very embarrassing situation. By the way of "national allegory", Yan provides us the local of "spiritual reality", thus provides us an example about "how to write local" under the context of the new era.By analyzing the three writers, the reader may find out that because of its characteristics of "back exogenous" and heavy "local" background color, the Chinese modernity is taking a new way different from the western modern transformation. At the same time, in the process of foreign cultural impact, the unique contemporary content and landscape of Rural China are showed.
