The Design Research Of Plot-oriented Hotel Furnishings

The author attempted to draw on the research methods of literature, drama, film and stage art. Then she used it to analysis the plot of furnishings in hotel. In the analysis, the author analysis some hotels and obtain the research result: the expression elements of plot-oriented furnishings, the structure of expression and the way of combination. These hotels include: HongKong W hotel, ShangHai URBN hotel, SuZhou YuTing hotel and SuZhou NanYuan hotel. From this result, we can see that the design of plot-oriented furnishings have some plot theme and create a particular atmosphere of scene by the meaning of symbol and metaphor. Different scenarios can be linked by the motion of people. In this process, the generation of plot is based on the feeling and experience of people to the furnishings. Furnishings are like the language. Only by the arrangement of disgner ,can it be made of plot. By the arrangement, the people will feel the emotion of furnishings.
