Jingxing Lahua has a long history, popular in Jingxing county of Hebei Province. In the eastern Taihang Mountains with a deep, meaningful, energetic, desolate, depressed artistic style of northern Yangko, Jingxing Lahua embodies broad and deep culture of Yanzhao , known as "the most representative of the three Dances"in Hebei Province In the Ming and Qing dynasties, Lahua, with "temple events" form reached its peak, then gradually developed with faith in the activities of civil society. With the efforts of professional and semi-professional artists it forms the street activity in celebration of Chinese New Year and other important festivals.After the founding of People's Republic of China, Jingxing Lahua formed the main theme "celebration and sympathy," to meet officials'taste and frequently participated in various national, provincial shows and performances. After the reform and opening up, following the timely footsteps it became a modern and commercial stage for the performers. During the twenty-first century, when "China's intangible cultural heritage protection" has become national policy, and to "protect the cultural heritage, guarding the spiritual home" is regarded as the theme slogan , Jingxing Lahua as a non-material cultural heritage, comes into a new stage of development with a posture of returnal. A variety of topics such as reform, innovation, conservation, heritage, development go related to literary and art workers and local governments. Jingxing Lahua's characteristics of the local folk art has aroused growing concern and attention.This paper includes introductory and three chaptersThe first chapter concerns historical and cultural background of Jingxing Lahua, which mainly covers the cultural and historical background, the title of legend, the origin and impact.Chapter II is a time sequence, from traditional to modern cultural changes described and interpreted. In talking about the changes of the phases in traditional and modern history, the lifestyle changes in Jingxing region will be focused on with the account of people's cultural landmarks--- memory and heritage conditions of Jingxing Lahua . With reference to the record information available and a hundred years'changes in the social background, the establishment of the PRC in 1949 is regarded as the most important historical event for the division time between traditional and contemporary folk art of Jingxing Lahua, that is to say, the development of Jingxing Lahua is divided into two periods: traditional pre-1949 period and modern post-1949 period.Chapter III will emphasize the great effort and event with much influence on Jingxing Lahua---the non-material cultural heritage protection, which occurs in the continuity between traditional and modern history . And in this chapter the status quo of the art, the development of blind spots, the approach to protect and to pass will be in detailed analysis and parsing. Furthermore the reflection on tradition, innovation and return will be made in the part of conclusion.As a folk art with a long history, but also as one of the country's first batch of intangible cultural heritages, Jingxing Lahua's future road should attract common concern accompanied by paceful and aimed efforts from multi-direction .
