Culture is an important foundation for survival and development of a nation and the country, it is an important national symbol which is different from other nation. National independence and rejuvenation, social progress and development are inseparable from the support of culture. Culture as a kind of soft power, has become an important component of comprehensive national strength. Communist Party of China since the day it was born attached great importance to cultural development, Communist Party of China always hold high the banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Communist Party of China to build national scientific and popular culture has made unremitting efforts.From the new-democratic culture ideology to the socialist cultural ideology, from the thought of construction of socialist spiritual civilization to the construction of socialist culture ideology with Chinese characteristics, with the practice of building socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, the socialist culture ideas with Chinese characteristics continuously innovates and develops . To a new historical period, Comrade Hu Jintao as general secretary of the new central collective leadership, presented on a harmonious culture ideas. The ideology of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics is consistent and develops with the advance of the times. The practice of building socialist culture with Chinese characteristics moves on in the twists and turns.Chinese modernization task includes not only economic construction, political construction, social construction, but also culture. Socialist culture with Chinese characteristics is an important component of socialist theory system with Chinese characteristics, it is also the product of the times and the practical needs. With the practice of building socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, the socialist culture ideas with Chinese characteristics will develop continuously. This part mainly makes elaborate of the basic concepts related, it is a fundamental part of the article.Part two: The formation and development of ideas of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
